Reviews for "Metroid Maze 2 Demo"

I really like it, but..

I think you should make the areas look somewhat like the actual metroid areas, only flaw I can think of.

ok here..

it was cool, but.. you should add friction! and maybe work on making the walls look better...
other then that its a great inprovement from the first one!

metroidrobot responds:

thanks man! but the problem is I don't know how to add friction!

SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME!

Demo or not... drastic changes are needed.

I am a huge old-school Metroid fan. I'd normally eat up anything with the classic Metroid elements in it and call it great even if it was less-than-great in reality. This one could make it to that level - but it needs more than just a face-lift from the demo version. It needs to look less like Berzerk (yes, the Atari game)! The feel isn't so great, either. I guess it might be an improvement over mouse controls (I did not play the first one) but it still feels rather stale. This has puzzler potential I'd like to see explored. This could get much better - but way WAAAAY more work needs to be done to get it there.

Meh

That was okay, nothing too special. Better than some stuff I've seen.....

OK, it was too easy.

What's to review? It was too easy. Basically, levels should be larger, and should have more enemies, with different types. One quick way to make this one better would be to take the level with 4 levers, and have it so the last lever adds a bunch of enemies you have to avoid to get to the thingie/portal.

metroidrobot responds:

what the **** do you mean? I can't make the levels larger, because then the levels would be bigger than the window. didn't think of that, huh?
