Reviews for "This is Freedom"

Beautiful

I don't know what else to say about it. I certainly am at a loss of words compared to MaestroSorrow's review on 4 Seasons of Adventure. *sweatdrops* I can only summarize and imagine, and I imagine that this song symbolizes your authenticity in music booted with some liberating feeling you experienced and were able to capture. Sorry if I'm always corny like that. - -;

Also, I'm not sure if you've seen it yet, but I've released a teaser/intro of my next part for AFLM (A Friend Like Me). I apologize that I only included a fraction of one of your songs, "Another Once Ago". I swear you'll hear the whole song for the complete version, together with... well, I'm still deciding the-- Oh, wait! "River of Eden"! =D

For now, though... Hope you enjoy the Teaser.

And again, great piece. XD

MilkMan-Dan responds:

Your review is great and yes I did see the teaser. It was nicely done and got a 5/5 for me. I didn't review sorry for that... but I've been terribly busy lately. Thankyou much for the review though and keep those flashes comin ;).

Soundtrack

Nice stuff. Bit too much release on some notes of the piano perhaps and the piano sound isn't the best. It sounds a bit synthy, which isn't nice in my opinion. Quite a good full on blast into the main tune, a good emotive feel. Could see this as soundtrack music for a end of a cheesy battle based movie. The drums could've been more prominent to give the track some real punch and definition, but it's generally a really nice track with a good 'let's march to certain death' vibe.
The production gets a bit muddy, maybe try panning some of the instruments to give it more space?
Good stuff.

MilkMan-Dan responds:

Thankyou for the amazing critique. Usually the piano sounds quite good... as you'll see from my other works. I think it was in the way I captured the sound this time around. Unfortunitley... you must not have caught the fact that I did this entire thing on a keyboard. You can't pan the instruments unfortunitley... but it sounds like a good idea if I can find a way to do it. Any suggestions? Thanks bunches.

Missed a couple

Sorry dude, for not hittin these up sooner. Again, great song. I was reminded of Chariots of Fire with this one. And thats a good thing. Not that it was the same note wise, just the same style. I liked it alot. Good stuff. Gotta go check your other new one.

MilkMan-Dan responds:

... Well... I guess I'm being pretty mainstream... better get back to my utter originality again eh ;). Thanks bud.

Hmm

Sounds like I've heard it somewhere before, but that's not a nessecarily a bad thing. The melody just sounded familiar. Heh, I used to take piano lessons, and I understand what you said earlier.

But you still are pretty good. Keep up the great work, and expect this is in a flash eventualy!

MilkMan-Dan responds:

hehe yes... this seems to be familiar in some way... to someone... but I garentee you... it's 100% original from my very own tiny mind. Weren't piano lessons just a pain?... I honestly tried taking them... but I just couldn't stop playing by ear. It drove my teacher mad hehe... that and I rarely practiced. That also drove her mad :P. I can't believe this made this weeks top five... I'm quite happy... :)... my first front page view! Thankyou for the review darlin.

ya...

hmm as good as mozart. ok? still good though.

i meant that kid that said u were as good as mozart and it honestly wasnt because mozart was a fucking genius and nobody will ever be as good except for a few major composers.

MilkMan-Dan responds:

didn't Italian Stallion just say the same thing?... :p... yes... I'm not even close to mozart... case closed... I'll never claim to be ;). Not sure what the message was here... but uh... k :).
