it probably will get blammed.
it just needs to be continuous and needs a score table.

Its not as bad as you think it is ....
of course it needs improvement in animation and such but its alot better than what i usually see under judgement....
My suggestions:
1) levels
2) plot (always nice)
3) score
4) make it easier to tell when they are about to hit you
5) multiple types of meteors
6) make em spin
7) better sound fx for the shooting and when they hit you

Add some more levels, up the graphics, background music, etc.
