Reviews for "-A New World-"

Awesome song!

I really like this tune, mate. Everything sounded crystal clear, and the melodies are memorable. I particularly like the snare you used. Could you tell me where I can get good snare samples like that one? I would like to use it for my techno project I am working on right now.

My only critique for this song right now is that after the second chorus part, it felt like it dreaded on for a while. I wanted something else to happen, but nothing new came in.

Overall, I thought this was a pretty solid track. You rarely find pop songs like these nowadays. Keep up the good work, bro.

Could you please review me back on my first submission? I would appreciate the feedback. :)

Hey, thanks for the helpful review!

Good to hear! I'm quite proud of the melodies in this song, I think they're some of my best.

Of course. Here - http://www.darkbeats.com/sampleswap/ - is the source of a lot of my drum samples. They're all free, and while they're not exactly professional quality, there are so many drum samples in there that you're bound to find tonnes of hidden gems.

You're not the first to like the snare I used here (someone else said it sounds great when I used it in another song of mine, Town Theme). This one in particular is from the 5000_DRUMHITS.rar library (specifically in this filepath: SAMPLES - 5000 DRUMHITS > ACCOUSTI > AMBIENTS). If you want me to send you the snare sample on its own, just drop me a line!

Haha I have a bit of a problem with that. Once I reach like the second chorus of a song or finish a long section of a song, I start feeling the urge to finish the track as quick as I can so I can submit it here :P. I often end up rushing the last sections of a song. Perhaps that's why you thought it got a bit boring towards the end. Although I do like the tribal-like part right after the second chorus, personally.

Thanks a million, I'll try!

I'd love to. I'm really busy right now reviewing for a competition I'm hosting along with loads of Maths homework so I might take a long while to review I'm afraid, but I'll add it to my to-do list :3.

Thanks again!

great track

amazing work with keyboard man. Great track. One thing about your songs is that your drums for some reason do sound like from 70s pop songs.. with afros. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with it. Percussion is very good in this track and there is also that oldschool drum feel

Step responds:

Wow, thanks!

Also, songs can have afros now? That is so cool :D.

I'm glad you like the percussion, thanks a lot!

Mmmm ...

That song ... sounds to me an adventure game

Step responds:

Cool! Adventurous was one thing I wanted this song to sound like, so I'm happy you think so.

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

keep it chillin

wow this keeps me cool the more i listen to it im simply gonna add this song hope you don't mind

Step responds:

You mean download it or favourite it? Of course I don't mind :P.

Glad you enjoyed it dude.

Ha!

I clicked on this song on the "Best of the Week" and then saw that I had a new PM, so I decided to check it out. Led me right back here xD Anyways, awesome song!

Step responds:

Haha, awesome :D.
