I don't think it's stupid at all
I think that it was kind of nice that you would dedicate the passing of your cat Tim Tim( Is this right?) by making this action-packed film, though I don't understand the purpose of this dedication other than that fact that what the two deaths in common is that there was nothing anyone could have done for them. I kind of already know that Shadow wants to get rid of humanity because of the deaths of his family. I just do not understand how a film can represent the untimely death of a loved one. can you please explain it to me? I would appreciate if you could.
It doesn't so much have a real relation to the film's plot, I just wanted to honor the memory of my loved one by dedicating something I poor my ideas into, something I really enjoy.

PROS
- Very nice story line
- U put ur heart into it, lot of good work, ideas (nice ending etc)
CONS
- A LOT of design mistakes. For example : sprites mixed with blood lines not in 8-bit fashion, flames of the beginning cut in the top, some cheap effets, repetitive sliding background, mirrorer background (sometime with graphic defaults), use of colors that dont match everytime together, varying quality of sound (sometimes high quality, sometimes crappy, most of time normal 8bit)
Well I m feeling bad making criticism over such a big work, but those mistakes hamper the overall impression a LOT !
Basically, problems are :
- Bad quality of SOME graphics (mainly backgrounds) and sounds, which should be improved
- MATCHING of colors and objects in a logical and fashion way (use a limited set of colors, otherwise it ll be "amateur like")
- Finishing details : lack of landscape details
You know what? I think you should learn the BLUR effect to increase adaptation of landscape to characters and effets. I m sorry to mention it, but take a close look at Alvin-Earthworm animations, which are quite perfect in those domains.
Your animations are not far from perfection, even if it looks like sometimes. Try to ask friends to be critic before releases, you miss a lot of little details to fix ;)

I see your points and will try to work on them. I'll try out some of the motion blur technique then on the BG's, but other than that I can't do much more. I for one like to add landscape details like you suggest because it adds to the realism. BUT, that's not always possible when you're dealing with possible frame lagging issues. I don't know if you animate also, but if you do, then you must understand this issue as well. Also, i like to mix vector with pixel, like the blood details. I picked up this style from Lgd-Vegetto and Cajun-Spirit since they were my inspiration and Cajun-Spirit was very much like my mentor with special effects, and good friend.
