Reviews for "Tails: Cosmic Rush"

Aaaah..

This game was magnificient!! It was wonderful, but wait a minute.. This idea is not yours? See, I am going to give you some credit because you made a pretty good flash remake of it. The points go to originality, purpose, graphics, sounds, and spirit. Good Pull..

horribly done

Was repetitive went from easy to extremely difficult in seconds so you dont catch up some parts you dont know when to jump or not so no matter what your gonna die and might know what to do next time and some parts just didnt work was fun a little then just got really boring 3/10 better luck next time..this is a true review -.-

fundimental design flaw

i would normally love this kind of game, but you made some HUGE mistakes
speed isn't a bad thing, but one should have to get there, die, & try again to be able to get past a point; to have this happen out of difficulty is perfectly fine, but out of requirement is unacceptable. This problem is due to everything needed to be seen to progress being off camera.
In the 2D section, Tails runs allong a plain, making great time on his journey. Coming to the end of the platform, he jumps, only for Mr. Prowers to find that he has leapt to his death. This unfortunate mishap occured because he seems to have developed extreme astigmatism & can only see 3 feet infront of his nose
i know this is just a beta, & i'm excited to see the final product, but right now it is unplayable

A full and honest review from a nuetral party

Graphics: Simple. Good on Tails, bad on everything else. The backgrounds boring. Its a few dots. Yeah its space or something, but that's no excuse. If we have to stare at something for that long, at least make it pretty.

Concept: Why are there spikes on a galactic belt thing? Just because its sonic, doesn't mean we should just assume that stuff would be there. Would have been nice to see some creativity on the part of what you are avoiding. Its a demo, so I won't bother with the story, but as a side note: if you can put this much time and effort into something, why not try using your own property? You are at the point where you should be working on a portfolio. A Tails fan-game won't fly in an interview (pun intended.) Try making something that comes from your own brain.

Gameplay: Action? More like memory. There's no action to this. There's one or two moments of genuine reflexes, otherwise its all about dying and remembering what killed you last time. Near the end, nearly everything is just hoping it works and trying again if it doesn't.. That concept doesn't equate to good gameplay. You have a lot of empty space on screen. Consider maybe a better way to inform the player whats ahead to allow them more chances to use their reflexes, and less on testing over and over.

Music: Please. Please. Change that. It barely fits the mood. From a Sonic game or not, its just tedious. Almost feels like its a separate thing from the game that just happens to be playing at the same time. Its space. Make it spacey. Even Sega is realizing it was a bad choice to hire a hand full of B-Rate bands for rock quickies. Lets all move past that and get back to what Old Sonic was about: addicting music.

Overall: With all of its problems, I can't see the gameplay being put together to make a full game. It was enough of a struggle getting through this. I have a feeling the score would be severely lower if it wasn't for Tails being a part of it.

not much

not very good but you did try and it was decent
but also i must say there needs to be more options
not as longas just one level either
