Reviews for "The Pirate Collab"

Excellent!

Truly one of the better collaborations I have seen on Newgrounds. On the BBS, I had heard all the hype for this submission, and to tell the truth, it was all true. This was bloody brilliant! My personal favorite part was Goat-Man's, I was waiting for someone to parodize the stereotype of pirate's and their rum. I really enjoyed the preloader game as well, it could have been its own submission. The replay was also creative with dragging your mouse over the note in the bottle. The music was also very good, it matched the tone perfectly. If there is another collection you'd like to be recommended for, just say it and I will submit. Keep up the great work everyone!

Thanks for this great review, I can't think of any collections right now but if I do, I let you know! :3

Cool work

except for the nogginmenAnimations part (the drawing and animation is pretty annoying).... it was pretty cool!!! .... i don't really like collabs, but this was actually funny.
even tho' there were 2 stick fights (1 is plenty enough). I enjoyed it a lot =)

Amazing Collab!

Great job with this collab, everything was perfect in my eyes and sounded great to my ears. This is one of those memorable collabs that deserves to be in my favorites, but now...onto my review!

Graphics/Animation: 10
The most important thing about this collab was that the animating was very smoothly done all the way through. Everyone's individual contribution ran just as smoothly as the ones before and after it. Even though some of the contributions were stick figure ones (and I'm USUALLY not a fan of sticks), they were very well animated and had some awesome movements. The best parts were the special effects of the fighting and mostly the water. In a collab like this it's so important to get the minor details right, and you all did it right. I also want to commend you all on the backgrounds, which include the actual background and details of the ships. Everyone has great animating skills in this collab, and I'm glad you came together because this was awesome!

Audio: 9.5
The song was awesome, flat out awesome. It fit in completely with the flash itself, and most importantly it was almost like it was synced perfect to the actual actions in the flash. The menu music, Pirates of the Carribean, was also another great song you included to almost set the mood for the flash itself. The sound effects were also really really well done. Everything was dead onto the action of the animation in which it defined. My only downfall that I docked you 0.5 points for was because the voice acting of the characters was too low to even hear at all. I couldn't hear them no matter what I tried to do. But overall great work with the sound!

Originality: 10
Something I've never seen, but wanted to see is a flash about Pirates the way you guys made on. I wish I was just saying that to use as a compliment, but it's completely true. I've seen a couple of pirate flashes on Newgrounds here and there, but nothing that comes out to being this caliber. I really enjoyed how original each of your ideas was, because you'll never score high if you just do the traditional pirate lifestyle - looting, sailing, swordfights. You all included things such as skateboarding and pulling out weapons like uzis. This is incredibly important, and I'm glad to have seen such talent here!

Collab Score: 10
This is something I've added new to my review style. Basically what I am doing here is rating you based on how well all of you were able to come together and put together this collab. I've been complimenting you all so far up to this point, so obviously you'll get praised with the 10/10 here, but I'll also tell you why. The best part of a collab is when you can see one style of one author leading into a style of the next in line. It seemed like all of you were on the same page when you were using brighter colors for the backgrounds and the character styles were all almost the same or similar to another in the lineup. I honestly think that if there's going to be another collab from all of you it will generally sync up perfectly based on how your styles all work well with each other.

Overall: 10/10
This is easily a 10/10 score. There isn't enough I could say to praise you all any more for what you have done with this flash. I'm really looking forward to another collab of yours in the future. Great work with this flash, honestly. Keep up the good work all of you!

One of the best reviews of all the 401 review for this submission great job. :D Also, in you 'Collab Score' you could include 'Preloader Game' and 'Menu' cuz that are also important things for a collab! :D

I loved it

I was pretty impressed by the fact that you guys had a preloader game that was so enjoyable. The collab itself was very entertaining and I enjoyed it very much, also I thought the audio went with the flash quite well. Most of all the animation was smooth.

I think that the collab was put together very nicely and I also hope to see more from all the authors. One more thing, the replay option was disquised very well.

Intresting

It was a pretty decent collab, the menu was good and the mini game at the start where both quite intresting to see and somewhat diffrent too. The actual collab itself did have many good parts and the music fit the theme, but I have to say the one thing I am most disappointed about is the lack of humours parts, much of it seems to be violance or violance related humour, not that it's a bad thing for those who like it, just I'm not keen on it.

No real problems with the parts themselfs though, I did like the ones that didn't revolve around just violance better though, lol. You might also want to hide the custom arrow from the actual flash, it gets in the way, the ending replay part was pretty diffrent to, so that was nice, good work overall.
