SPRITES!
I want you to know... that I hate sprites. I hate them SOOOOOOO much. Yet despite my grand and probably illogical bias, I tried to rate your video from a neutral stance.
First thing's first. Great intro screen. It was dynamic, gave proper credit where credit was due, showed your skill in vector art, and perked my interest. There you have my respect.
I don't know much about sprites. As you can understand I don't go out of my way to look for them. From what I could see though, you added some unique twists to the bitmaps. Whether the original sprites were unique to you or not I can't tell. But I didn't recognize any of the characters so you've definitely showed some skill over every other sprite video that leeches off other people's sprites.
The biggest thing I noticed was your cinematography. I was thrilled to see so much panning, scoping, and dynamics in the camera. It really showed that you took a lot of time on this and payed special attention to camera position in order to emphasize the mood. And considering there isn't that much you can do with a camera in flash or any other 2D animation software. That is saying a lot.
So where is this rant going? What am I trying to say here? Well, to reiterate, I loathe sprites beyond all rational thought. But I have to give credit where credit is due... You have my five sir. A grand score to help your ratings in the future. But in this review I can only bring myself to give you a two. I can only hope that its diminutive value will motivate you to break out of your pixelated shell and step into a world of vectors where a man of your talent can surely shine.
Good luck to you sir and I hope too see more from you.
