Reviews for "Chronotron"

mind-manglingly complex

as time paradoxes can be. That actionscript must be a doozy.

Noice!

Clever game you've got here. hope there's a second one

Simply wow...

This is T-H-E best game ever to be submitted on Newgrounds, and I've been a portal crawler for several years now.
This game is so good and brilliant you actually made me register to this site just so I can write a review for it.

Only a few notes:

1) Sometimes your past selves are acting strange even when I absoloutly have no interference with what they were doing in the past. It's rare, but it happens.

2) Some levels, well actually alot of them, can be completed with no clones or with fewer clones than I persume were intended. I don't know for certain if it really wasn't intended, but it makes some level somewhat easier than it might look. Maybe I could be cheating without even knowing ^^

3) You should put a timer somewhere. I hate counting seconds. Gives me a headache. This would make the game a bit easier, which is good, because it's really hard right now.

4) I use a screen resolusion of 1024x768 and I could barely see the bottom of the flash frame where the rewind buttons are. A little bigger frame and I wouldn't be able to play at all because the buttons will be off my screen.

Anyways, this is REALLY a brilliant game. really.
I finished ALL 35 levels and all of them were awesome.
OMG I can't shake the feeling of awesomeness from myself :D

The only reason why this isn't the #1 portal submission is because some people here on Newgrounds seem to not like puzzle games. I've seen some other great puzzle games, obviously far superior in quality than most of the top-50-of-all-times submissions.

Anyways, BIG THANKS for the game!

Brilliant

this game is amazing
one of the best i have seen
really a great job

YEAH!!!!

That was so incredibly amazing. most fun i've had playing a flash game since shift.
I agree with Kastorr's headline thing, console games should be this cool and creative. Two problems.
1) In a few levels I had issues because the past selves decided they werent going to stand on the switches i wanted them to for some reason though it was easily fixed by starting over.
2) I had to stop at level 18. not because i couldnt figure it out but because what I had to do was simply too hard. the disappearing floor was too much for me to handle when in combination with past selves deciding to move slightly to the left or right of where i had them which also cause the first issue.

Neither of these however detracted from the fun i had while playing.
kudos to an awesome idea implemented damn near flawlessly
