It's a very good idea for a platformer. It's a bit easy, once you get the hang of it. Id suggest a couple of things. The levels are quite big. If you make harder levels, they might make playing through them too tough if you have to collect the stars again. To avoid this, I'd add a feture to land anywhere on the surface of the planet, and save the stars you've collected. Thus you can make the planets even bigger. I'd add a star counter too rather than a bar. Also, i found the mechanics a little bit clunky, but they worked well.

I like it, but there are things you should improve. The graphics aren't very good and sounds get irritating after some time. I think the gravity should depend on how far the character is from the core(although that's probably difficult to program). Otherwise, pretty good.
