Reviews for "Mad Vlad II: Revamped"

Nice :)

Well done, I really loved it!
Awesome platformer and the story was nice too, including the details in the library.

Great Game and Quick Question

Really awesome game! Like the music, the bosses are sweet and varied, the levels are fun, the secrets increase replayability; overall, great job.
The only thing that could be better is the mini game controls. Sometimes when you're fighting with the mouse, it's awkward to have to control and move your character with the arrows as you have to use your left hand.
Quick question: how do you get the secret with the clock in the castle? I've tried it several times, and have had no luck. Thanks.

Paranoia responds:

You need to set the clock to the correct time :) So first you need to find out what the time is.

I got my account to tell you how awesome this is.

Yup. It's true, believe it or not. NOT the best game on Newgrounds, because of graphics, but I LOVED the plot, various gameplay modes, and the music. Arguably, the music was the best part: it set the tone, whether spooky (at the beginning) or energetic (boss battles) or epic (Derek battles). (Somehow, Derek reminded me of Sephiroth with his three forms.) Also, the plot was incredible, with great dialogue and cutscenes... like at the end of the level leading up to "The Great Castle Vladimir" where you get nearly to the top, and the screen pans up to show the castle. If you've played the game, you know what I mean.
In summary, great job.

FANTASTIC

first i'd like to say this is a very well-made game! it is very complete in all aspects. keep it all!! the difficulty is just right; not too difficulty to induce hair-tearing, but not too easy that age 3+ and above can complete either. the storyline, while not exactly very original, did capture my attention. the music isn't very exciting during the stage period, but the boss music is definitely epic. maybe you could have different music for different bosses? i gave a 9 because there is no such thing as perfection (haha). the game could get abit glitchy at times, but the plus points overwhelming made up for it :)

and for peeps who are struggling with the gems - get 13 first, to unlock the next lecel. there you'll get to read a book with hints on all the exact locations. the last 2 gems that i couldn't manage to find were indeed tricky! nice job there!

persevere!! i promise you you won't regret what you'll get to see in the end ^^

Loved It

This game was far from perfect, but it was very good. Shame to hear that you are reluctant to tackle something big again. Personally, I don't blame you, but it would be nice to see more.

Some glitches that is think need some attention:

-Falling to death does not work. Your character stops at bottom and does not die. Attacking twice in a row causes fall to continue to death

-In the battle with the werewolf, once he dropped the sun stone things, the damage aura would remain if you died and started the screen over.

-It was very easy to get stuck on the left side of things like walls and boxes, but jumping and attacking got you out of it.

Personally, I didn't find any singly thing too impossible, but maybe make the gem-polarizing thing more clear-cut. I just had to guess on that and got it right.

Other than that I really liked the story, dialogue, and game play. Good work.

I would look forward to a sequel, but it seems you are uninterested. I hope you make one, anyway =P.
