Reviews for "I hate MAC ads"

Oh How Heartwarmingly Random!

Seriously though that kind of sucked.
Penguines are outdated.

Bobert-Rob responds:

Penguins are animals and deserve your respect. And the penguin is actually Linux's mascot, that wasn't just a random joke for the sake of randomness. Try looking a little further and you'd realize that. Of course, most people just want to look at it for face value and assume if they don't see the reference that it's random. Bleh. Thanks for the comment.

Not well-researched

This wasn't really well-researched at all. First of all, you talk about how all computers will ultimately break down and piss you off. Well, if this is the case, you obviously don't know how to maintain a computer. Secondly, the Mac is going to be a lot less likely to have this happen because of the lack of prevalent viruses, spyware and preloaded software and processes. I can speak not only from research I've done myself, but also I can speak from experience - I owned a PC which was fine for a while but it ultimately ended up with tons of manufacturing problems, plus Windows had TONS of problems itself with allowing Spyware through filters and crashing and locking up after a while. Since then, I've owned a Mac for a little over a year, and it's been the best experience of my life. No spyware, no virsues (yet I have none of this software preventatively installed) and no crashing, moving slow or locking up EVER. But the biggest flaw in this is you compare Macs and PCs, two different types of computers, to Linux, which is an operating system, not a computer. In fact, Linux would usually be loaded on a PC (though Macs in their awesome superiority now allow for multiple operating systems to be used on the same computer, so there's absolutely NOTHING a Mac CAN'T do). So, you should have either compared Windows vs. OS X vs. Linux, or you should have left Linux completely out of th equation. As far as a Flash goes, the animation, etc., was OK... kind of middle-of-the-road. However, the framing and accuracy of your message left a lot to be desired, to say the least.

Bobert-Rob responds:

This is a parody of the advertising type, not the computers themselves. Yes, I make jokes about the computers, but I'm not trying to say one computer system is better than the other. They both got their perks, and ultimately, I'd say it's a matter of personal preference. Sorry you didn't enjoy it.

I thought i'd like this..

Sorry, this isn't original, clever, or funny. I don't own a mac, so don't attempt to say that I'm just angry about the flash because it disses macs. No.. this was just really lame. There are so many funny parodies of these ads out there, this really didn't impress me in the least.

Also the whole "all computers are shit" thing is incredibly stupid. You couldn't have made this flash or visited this site without computers. I know you probably weren't being serious, but there really was absolutely nothing redeeming about this submission.

Also, double-clicking wasn't invented by microsoft.

Bobert-Rob responds:

People tend to think too highly of computers. Yes, they're great machines, but they aren't GOD. Just because you have a top of the line computer from a good company doesn't really mean anything. All computers are fundamentally the same, with only a few differences here and there. And most of the other 'funny' parodies are all biased against Mac, which is the only thing that gives them any sort of humor. I'd rather not sling mud at the company, just their marketing strategy. Sorry you didn't enjoy it.

I didn't laugh,

So you failed. Sorry, next time use humor to express your point. Or if you weren't trying to be funny, at least use wit and try to be a little clever. This was just the same "ALL MACHINES SUCK!!!!!1111!!!1!1111!" joke repeated over and over.

Bobert-Rob responds:

Well, sorry it didn't do the trick for ya. Oh well.
