It's smart and well done and everything but you can only watch random smiths fly off the screen from punches and kicks for a certain amount of time.

I dunno, Contra 3 was pretty badass...then again, that wasn't a fighting game, so if that's what you meant...probably because of the whole "child friendly" Nintendo policies. Hence, no blood in Mortal Kombat, etc.
