i gotta give you 5 for effort but who are you trying to kid?
I just submitted a button tutorial last night, so here's where you went wrong:
1)You needed some kickass music. (I used Brain Stew by Greenday) 2)you needed a subtle yet slightly interesting background. (I used checkerboard) 3) Don't put your actionscript all in caps, and if you do, explain it.

This was notbad it could use a better improved interface though, it seemed abit plain otherwise, but as for what it teaches it was good, so notbad there

Poor tutorial
I don't scold anyone for writing a tutorial. But there were just some things that made this tutorial pointless:
1) You didn't explain the actionscript
2) The actionscript lines were cut off
3) You put all the actionscript in CAPS LOCK!! None of it will work unless the correct letters are lower or uppercase.
4) Poor presentation.
Please, please remember these things next time you write a tutorial.
