Reviews for "Mini Stickbattle"
Wasn't terrible for a stick movie, I'll admit
I've decided to start reviewing every movie I click a rating for and song I listen to, so let's do it:
This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I came in here expected to vote 0 and leave a review that it sucked, but for a first movie it isn't the worst it could be.
Some points to improve:
-I know it's a short, first movie but the credits and the introductions were nearly as long as the movie itself. Try to cut back on logos and credits if your movie is short. A good rule of thumb is no longer than 5% of the length of the movie(although in this case that might be a little too small).
-The animation was a bit jerky and fast- try inserting a few more frames for movements and slowing them down just a hair. Also, mastering some basic antialiasing or even blurring or dithering might make your characters and the background look less incongruous (although don't go overboard, it's not /that/ big of a deal). The lightsabre effect was pretty good, but the blood would have been much better with just a touch of shading or detail or something.
-Finally, keep trying. I personally think this wasn't that terrible, especially considering it was your first movie, and you could certainly do better- especially if you move beyond stick figures.
-Oh and good choice of music: you'd be surprised how many people pick crappy songs or even no song at all. That goes a long way towards making even an okay stick fight into something that wasn't too bad.

Nice choice on music. The backgrounds were a bit choppy (obviously tiled), and the animation/art wasn't really good. Also, I would personally only give this a Mild Violence rating.
Good lightsaber though =p
