Reviews for "The Fur Fighters"

Blegh

Christ........and i thought the government would be the first to get propaganda on here...but P.E.T.A beat them to it. I myself am staunchly against The fur industry and general mass slaughter of animals, but P.E.T.A is ridiculous.

Pretty Horrible

Pretty horrible game, but to be honest the only reason why I'm giving this is a 1 (and a 0 in the vote) is that these types of messages are utterly useless and not suited for the front page. Come on, like playing this game will change anyones mind about what they think of fur and such. Excluding the impressionable younger audience, who can't do much about it in any case.

But this deserves a low score not only because of its useless message, but it also deserves a low score simply because this entire flash (which is doing horrible in its scoring currently) is on the front page purely on the merit of its message it's trying to promote.

Let's get to the constructive part of this review:
Artwork - By far this is the worst kind of artwork I've seen for a frontpage game in a long while. Most of it is two-three frame animations, and the style alone reeks of having it thrown together in a day. It wouldn't of been so bad if it wasn't for the fact that the animals that you 'play' as look horribly drugged up. Also, why the hell does the spraycan paint look like blood? Have you ever even USED a spraycan? I know this is getting to the point of reality/versus fantasy and the like, but I doubt it wasn't so much an artistic choice as it was an idiotic one.

Gameplay- My biggest complaint about this game is that it's not fun. It's not fun because it's trying to force an ideal on you while you play it. It's not fun because the gameplay is MIND BLOWINGLY BORING. The AI blows and doesn't have any scripted paths for it to take (a lot of the times they just run into tables or get caught up on the show models). Even at max difficulty an eight year old could easily beat this game without breaking a sweat. And at the end of it, he's worse off for playing it.

Sound- Stock, with little to no change. Not to mention annoying. At least there was a mute button.

Fun Factor- I'm treating this as a different category. A game is defined by how fun it is to play, either through innovation or solid foundation. This game has neither. Simple objectives just to try to desperately hold your attention long enough to get a point across that fails to even do so. The whole Civil Disobedience theme was also rather corny. The cutscenes were not enjoyable, and any jokes (visual or otherwise) weren't funny. At best a quirked eyebrow and a small smile from the nude scene that's loosely based around PETA using vegetarian Playboy models in their ads.

Overall- Most likely the worst frontpage game I've ever played.

My opinion

I hate PETA, but that's due to their psycho leaders (one of which lives off drugs that were discovered in what she protests: animal research). In terms of fur coats, I hate those, and wish all actual furs (not synthetic/fake fur) would be banned around the world. I support this game for that reason, and hope this creates some sucess in the protests on fur usage.

Yay!!

It was a kinda fun game, and I signed the petition/boycott thing. You should too!!!

um...

Kinda borring.
