Definitely has an ellebirdy feel
I've never actually played Snowboard Kids 2 (or 1 for that matter), so I went and looked up the original song. I wouldn't even come close to calling it one of the greatest VG songs of all time (I've heard a lot of really awesome VG songs), but it's definitely really awesome. Your remix basically took it and gave it, as you say, an ellebirdy feel. I can honestly say I like your version better. It has a cleaner, smoother feel, if that makes any sense. The original probably would work better with the game, but purely as a song, I like your version much better. The song loops very well, though not quite perfect.
Anyway, overall, it sounds like a very polished remix. Your year of work shows through, as do the effects of your distinctive style on the song. I can't really think of anything specific about the song to criticize. I'd say you earned a 10.

Very good, as usual
I, unfortunately, don't remember Snow board kids 1 or 2, besides one level in a city where you snowboarded across solid road...and one where there was a bridge then grass. Hard to remember. I'll make sure to get it via emulator. As for the song, its actually really catchy. A good music that i can listen to until dragon roost island and Medli's awakening comes out.
I especially love the low beat parts.

For me personally, Sunny Mountain was my favourite theme from SBK2, but this is definitly a close second. Your version of it was not only accurate but in my opinion better than the original. I love it :D
