Reviews for "GhostFight-BOS-Part1"

great concept!

i liked it, but it had its flaws. the animation was very good it really shows that you put alot of effort to it. the control the movie part was good too, but it has some bugs, you should had at least explained what each button did, in the movie itself or in the author's comments... so far i know that the arrows are used to increase/decresa the framerate or advance/go back one frame, spacebar is to stop the movie (?) the scroll wheel is to zoom in or out (if you zoomed out enough you could see the symbol cutted out at the bottom) and the background and music changes randomly... It was still awesome tho, even if it was so short :)

TO BE CONTINUED?!?!

Thats what you said last time.

Good Idea...

... but bad execution. For one, you didn't show what each button did. It just quickly flashed what buttons to use but not their functions. The speed was an issue because it had to way to control it to go back to the original pace. The idea for an intereactive movie is good.. just maybe not a stick figure movie.

Not a stick, a plant

Stick fight animations don't have hands and feet, hair, or even eyes half the time, and hardly any programming required, not like this one where the image could mirror on seperate viewing attempts; different music playing occasionally Which leads me to believe that this is in fact NOT a stick animation, it is a heavily shadowed realistic 2D sword fight movie. Whether or not the author believes he created a new stick figure style, this is a hybrid at best, since I do not like crappy stick figure animations. I would make one comparison to stick figure animation in that there's no linear story (yet at least) and the lazy selection of heavy background music, that's where it crosses over to depreciated territory.

This music selection is confusing, sometimes it did not fit the video... I don't appreciate listening to random music when SFX are well placed, there's a desire for music control when you might get an unwanted screamer or rap song. You might get someone with a tin ear and bad taste to watch it but that'd be, predictable, for viewers of the stick related collection.

No, this won't do, a non stick animation trying to beat the system by misleading foolish stick figure fans and impressing others who might just like random hardcore music. Really this is just a piss off maneuver. The author is a programmer, he programmed this to be misinterpereted, not a user friendly application.

The sound effects were well timed. The keyboard controls... don't add much, it looks like more of a cover for it being such a short video. Overall it was well thought out and the plan to have it sneaked into newgrounds' stick figure collection was pretty clever and successful.

music?

what happened to the music?
