Aesthetically pleasing
- The actual drawings/artwork was impeccable! Detailed and accurate!
- Unfortunately, the actual animation and splicing the frames needs much
improvement. (I suggest not completely trying to animate it as a frame by frame but just make it like a dynamic and epic still picture slide show type thing. Kindal ike your flash back, but please no more flash back unless its pertains to the story)
- I know not everyone (including myself) can't sound as cool as movie narrators/or Steve Downes so I don't expect Oscar performance in voice acting, however, either the actors sound like they're trying too much to sound "badass" or they just can't sound badass at all, thus the voices come off as inept...(sorry =P)
- In addition, the dialogue was extremely very uninspired...i.e. "we're...as good...as dead..." or __insert all the dialogue here__. In light of this, the portrayal of the highly revered "Spartan II's" from Bungie's Halo series appear more like squabbling Storm Troopers. Or rather, sounds more like the UNSC's marines talking than a group of "master chiefs."
- The dialogue also failed to reailly impact the audience with significance via flash back and back story... In addition, the dialogue is convoluted so much I can't even make out the plot.
-Compared to many other flashes, despite the flaws in the adaptation of a very popular game franchise element (Spartan II's), it shows potential and great artwork. The authors defense could be this is it could be THEIR perception or take on the Halo universe's Spartans (so even though I sorely dislike many anime) its their style or twist on things. Many flashes are poor compared to this one and I believe with alil more thorough research and constructive criticism (rather than "durr this sucks" from reviews) this can dramatically improve to where Orion's Spartans should be, among the stars.
- Finally, get some inspiration, via Steve Dones. If you're a true Halo fan or have any deduction skills you already know this is.
