Reviews for "Outlaw pt.1"

Old video game revived to pure awesomeness

I agree, the Demon's voice is cool.
The plot looks interesting by far, and the graphics are top notch.
Kinda reminds me of Death Note though.

Edit: Damn the new weapon kicks major ass!

The graphics where phenomenal, you're a good.

Wow I can't really express myself so profoundly, I'm speechless. I will try to give you the best review. Your animation was incredible and I've never seen an outstanding work in a very long time. The story was decent enough to show and understand. I might be wrong about understanding the concept, but the shadow creature was hard to hear, maybe next time you would add optional subtitles to your flash that is all your missing to be a perfect author. Finally, you did an incredible work in the violence scenes when the guy shoots the arrival's body parts (don't intent to kill anyone in the real world though, the world has to much problems already. Just use it for your flash animation, your not hurting anybody in reality). Overall, good work. I expect to see more from you.

BiffTheTimid responds:

Hey man, very in-depth review. You're in luck! There are indeed subtitles. They're right below the extras. And no, I'm not intending to hurt anyone in the real world, just as Tony Jaa doesn't intend to hurt people in real life just because he was in Ong Bak (a sick movie).

this is going to be epic

i know it will

Breath taking!

It's the small little details which makes this animation absolutely stunning. Right from the start where Brookes lit his cigarette, before flicking the lighter away, to the cheek shot, or how the blood flows along the table.. Everything, well almost, had been well thought out. The choreography of the procedures of the animation was perfect. Loved the way you placed the cut scenes between the mexican dude and the negotiations with the devil. And of course, the shadowy figure of the devil himself before Brookes shot that guy.

The animation has also captured perfectly, what a sane human would do in the 'shoot-out' situation at the parlour. Cheating, counter-cheating, killing the latter be it the outcome, and stealing all the money for the last man standing (mexican dude yeah).

Oh and did i mention how your character BLINK! Many animators leave out this crucial factor of the realisticity of their characters. And the tad of humour of the joker at the card game.

State-of-art front page material, definitely worth the wait for the following sequel(s). Inspirational yes! But frustrating for viewers like me who knows nuts about animating. :/

BiffTheTimid responds:

Hey there. It makes me very happy to hear that you enjoyed the movie. I put a lot of effort into it, and I'm sure there's a few things that people haven't even noticed yet. This took quite a while to animate, but the next shouldn't take nearly as long, thanks to my newfound appreciation of story boards (that can be seen in the extras). Stay tuned, and until then, take it easy.

....Just...

Wow. it reminded me of the earlier days of newgrounds, it was a nice refreshing story, had some really great artistic work brought into this, im sure it took a lot of time and i appreciate you making it for all of us to view. Awesome flash man, can't wait for the next one mate.
