wow
First of all, great job on the flash.
The meaning and message of your dream is completely dependent on you. The symbols all depend on what you think of them. I doubt the opinions of those that respond to your flash can be that helpful. The most they might do is open up your mind to a possibility. The best opinions you can get is one that comes from somebody who knows you well, a close friend.
If you are interested, I suggest you look up Carl Jung, a psychologist. He believes that a dream is a message from the unconscious to the conscious mind, especially if the dream is remembered. He also believes that the symbols of the dream comes from not only the individual but also a "collective unconscious", a collection of memories and such of the whole human race. He categorizes various things that he repeatedly sees in his own as well as other's dreams, like the shadow, the animus/a, and other things. I don't know that much about Jungian psychology but i read his autobiography. He described his life as well as many of the dreams he had. I stopped reading about it some time ago, but after seeing your flash, I might pick it up again!
Anyways, my personal opinion now lol. I think that the road could be your life. And that you're always hurrying through it and that it's a harsh road to walk. The cardboard trees might represent superficiality, your surroundings are superficial, not necessarily you. Your stick figure could be your personality, simple, yet complicated in how the lines tangle itself (confused? looking for purpose?). The volleyball nets could be obstacles. The town is a sanctuary. You could slow down, and a fire is there for comfort and rest (unless you feel fear when thinking of the fire). Maybe the town is a person who brings peace and comfort to you? Keep in mind that this is just an opinion. What it means is completely up to you.
Once again, great flash!
