Reviews for "Chickenball Z: Episode 1"

Great for a first flash

I was expecting some third-rate, 12fps crap since this is your first flash. I guess you proved us all wrong. Also, dispite the fact that this is yet another Dragon Ball Z parody, you used chickens as the characters, which, as far as I know, has never been done before. It was also funny from time to time. The only thing wrong was that the main villain was hand-drawn and everything else was sprited, which is an awkward combination. Aside from that, this is a very great first. Can't wait for the second one!

Thank you very much! I've realized I've made quite a few mistakes in the first episode, so I'll be sure to fix them for 2#.

..err

what was with the names?
"chicken TWOOOOOo"
couldn't spend 10 minutes thinking of a names of stuff, instead of calling everything "things" et cetera?
in the beginning with the bird-like thing stealing the crystals didn't look like a half bad animation.
but compared to some retarded sprite videos I have seen, this isn't too bad, i guess.

William777 responds:

The idea of the Chickens not having names was an idea of the Chickens just being "Generic Chickens". Since most DBZ flashes don't get too far into character development, so I thought that it would emulate that rather well, but if a lot of people seem to be annoyed by that, I will consider changing it in Episode 2.
The rough based names (such as "Crystal Chicken Things" ) is poking fun at several flash animations that just think up names as they go along.

Meh.

It was okay. I was expecting some fighting though.

William777 responds:

The first few episodes of a series are more or less going to be full of storyline development, so there's not much room for fighting in the first episode.
