Zombies don't stand a chance !

Nice try.

When choosing a knife, one with a _____ edge is prefered

a.serrated/toothed

b.smooth

According to you, smooth edged knives are best, because toothed knives will get stuck inside zombies when you stab them.

...Why would you stab a zombie with a knife? The only way to kill them is with sufficient force to the brain such as an axe or a bullet and let me tell you it would take alot of strength to pierce the skull with a knife and for one thing even if you could you wouldn't want to get that close.

/fail

Just a question. If worse comes to worse, I'd use a knife instead of my bare hands and feet.

Well done.

This was an excellent quiz, and you've certainly done the survival horror genre justice, although I do disagree with a few of the answers you chose as correct.

In my opinion, a blunt-force weapon is always a better alternative to an edged weapon, and I'll tell you why. Bladed weapons, such as an axe, katana, or machete are prone to becoming "stuck" inside of the skull, spine, and muscle tendons when a human body is struck in the neck or head. On top of this issue, it's worth noting that it's very difficult to successfully decapitate a human head in a single blow with a blade. There's a reason medieval executioners trained for years to accomplish that task. It's HARD! So it stands to reason that someone attempting a decapitation is very likely to have their weapon locked up in gristle and bone!

In addition, blunt weapons do not dull with use, require maintenance for rust prevention, or run the potentially disastrous risk of becoming "stuck" during combat, as I described earlier. Plus, they can certainly cause enough trauma in a single strike to kill.

Max Brooks makes mention of this in his survival guide, and I know that he supports what you're saying, but the survivalist community has largely debunked the myth of blades over blunt-force. Anyway, I know I've gone on too long, and I'm sorry about that. That whole minor nitpick aside, it was a great quiz! I scored a B/A/A/F, so I guess I just lack the whole ruthless survivor factor. Send me a PM if you'd like to discuss any of this in more detail!

5/5 10/10 Fav'd

I know a thing or two

I was casted as a zombie in a high school play I did once. I learned a few things in "Zombie Boot Camp" because of that. I probably could have gotten a better score, if I wasn't so darn humane.

Z+ for me

The guy below me may be knowledgeable there, but crushing a human (zombies still have human attributes) skull with FEET?!

LOL

I've got Max Brooks Survival Guide as well, but have read it so long ago I only got a B on the Zombie Knowledge. I'm sure I could have got an A if I'd read it more recently...
