Interesting Asteroids Clone

Nicely done - I like the colors and how the grid moves with the ship. But there are a few things that you may want to tighten up:

1) When you find a powerup, you get the notification in the middle of the screen. It stays up too long, and it blocks the view of the action. This can cause you to take damage or lose control of the ship until the notice goes away. Yes, it is semi-transparent, but it is still hard to see through.

2) I found a glitch in the game - I managed to get my ship stuck beyond the play area, just beyond the top-left corner of the screen. I could only fire to the right, and the ship no longer followed the cursor. After a while, all the enemies disappeared or were destroyed, and nothing regenerated. The multiplier went down to 0X, and then it just sat there until I closed the game. Not sure exactly how that happens - I've played a few times, and only made it happen twice.

3) How about "shields" as a power up?

It was a nice game, and certainly you put a lot of effort into it. With a little bit of cleanup, I think it'll make a few favorites list!

Geometry Wars?

Although it was a great game, I found myself running away a lot and not being able to shot the things I wanted. The graphics were clean, neat and capturing. I liked the changing color grid. That is what I noticed first. Good but it reminds me too much of Geometry Wars.

Awesome!

I loved almost everything about this game! The music was cool, the background was awesome when it was flashing colors, it didn't lag, and it was fun to play! The only thing I would suggest would be make the power-ups more distinguishable from the bullets, because sometimes I couldn't tell. Make them stars or something.
