Reviews for "The Ultimate Battle Demo"

great

not too good of a game at first look, but an amazing concept, i dont think i have seen another of this kind. I suggest removing such a harsh penalty for loosing a battle, and more weapons for cheaper e.g. releasing a smaller sword that would cost around 100 do a small ammount of damage more then the starting weapon

looking forward to the full game

good job

now, just give it some good graphics and finish it.

Good for a demo.

The graphics aren't amazing, nor is the originality, but you've made it quite well.
The main updates I suggest would be to add more items, make the enemies fight back (so introduce hp) and change a few prices (e.g. Increasing your hits permanantly by 2 only costs slightly less than increasing your hits for ONE battle by 3. Thisis one thing that needs adjusting.)

Great game, and for anyone who is looking through these reviews for help, the cheat code at the end is "iwantp" ;)

Could be better.

1. Make the bar vertical and off on the side
2. explain what each of the points do
3. Rename the points to sound more exciting. Special rate? Don't even know what that does.
4. Make some monster sprites to fight rather than a wooden board, and show the damage you do with the hit temporarily to make it more satisfying to get a good hit.
5. Make a better attack animation than the dive through the sky with the same sprite.

As others have stated, massive potential but could be more exciting, visually appealing, and easy to learn.

It needs a good amount of work.

First off, your damage calculation concerns me-- I hit the very end of the timing line almost 100% of the time, but my damage ranges from 13-34, and often, if I hit lower on the line, I hit for 16-19, which is actually better in some cases than hitting the max. That's an issue, as it takes what little skill this game requires right out.

Secondly... am I fighting a waffle? That's cool, but I'd at least like a different variety of enemies. Maybe some pancakes, french toast, a croissant? I know there are bosses, but I was too bored after the ninth waffle fight to really continue.

I like the basic skeleton of a turn based RPG that you have, but you have a long way to go.
