Reviews for "The Strangers"

Great game

I could see any problems, but you should add a repeat for the radio transmissions in case the sniper doesn't move on time.

good

this game was great, it had some good aspects to it. there was a minor glitch, towards the end it told me there was a menace at 3, and i couldnt find it, and then it told me there was a menace at 2 and when i shot the guy at 2 the game was over, and there was never a menace at 3

Good concept

A good starting point for a game. I like the concept, but with some work it could be a lot better. I like the restriction on ammo, but I find 10 shots in total a bit too low, and it might just be me, but I followed its instructions on where to move each sniper as I was playing, then suddenly found out the sniper I needed was out of ammo.

I agree with one of the previous reviews that a "skip" button on the intro should skip all of it, or at least add a skip button to each bit of the intro.

I also found after a few times the animation for changing snipers got repetitive and annoying.

Like I said, the concept is good, and a great flash adaptation of the old Silent Scope game, with good smooth animation and nice artwork. I dont know if it's already planned, but expanding the game a bit, after a few minor alterations, to add a bit of variation, like different missions with different amounts of snipers.

I think, on that basis, reducing the movement time a bit, allowing the area to actually be a bit more substantial (i.e. so a sniper at one point can see the same building as another sniper who's vision also covers that building, just from a different angle, rather than each view being an entirely separate place), and removing the advice of where to place the snipers (after the first mission. First one is needed to give the player an idea of how to do it), so that the player has to think about placement and coverage themselves, would add a nice new depth to the game.

I understand some of these suggestions would be hard and time-consuming to implement, but I think if you took it as a long-term project then the time and effort needed would be well worth the outcome.

All in all, good work, and nice job. It isnt easy to make a game as smooth and playable as this.

pretty good

not great, but good. could use some work but i like the idea.
