Gameplay sacrificed for graphics.

Not bad at all, but the learning curve felt really, really steep to me. After a half hour at it, I managed to struggle through all three tracks, and I somewhat got the hang of steering, but I never felt like I was completely in control. I applaud your efforts to try to do a 3d racer in Flash, but I feel like the gameplay got sacrificed for graphics bells and whistles - which don't completely work at higher settings anyway. Again, a valiant effort, and I wish to God that everyone else who contributes to NG was so ambitious, but it didn't get all the way there for me--good, but not great.

Looks great but it's hard to steer

I was never really into drift racers, the closest I've come was Mario kart, but even there you at least had some choice over your handling characteristics. Basically I found this game frustrating because I was always stuck with my nose in the wall. You can't see the track unfolding in front of you into the distance, so there's really no way of telling how long a turn is gonna last or how sharp it will be unless you pay more attention to the map than the road. I liked how the weapons get more powerful the more you collect, but I never got close enough to the leaders for it to matter.

The graphics were nice, especially flashy bloom effect in the intro, but the more I played the less fun I had. Not for novice racers.

REALLY GOOD, but...

THe game is simple, yet amazing.
My only problem was a bug that made the keyboard not responding to anything

Wow, this game was great!

I've always been afraid to try AS3 (if thats what you used cuz you said you used flash 9) because I suck at AS2 and I know AS3 is more difficult, but you made a great game out of it. I love games based off of older games, and this was great. This deserves front page!

Freaning fun!

Wow this was so high tech. It was also really fun at the same time. Although it was laggy at some points it was still a bad ass game. Everything about it was very well made, and just keep up the great work.
