Its random so they dont always fire straight away, maybe you need a little practice as most people are finding it too easy, not too hard ;-)

Dont repair every level, try to get through a couple at a time before repairing, this way you have more to spend on weapons/shield upgrades and repairs cost less by the time your earning more money later on!!

Fun, but limited

A decent game but it doesn't take long to get all the upgrades and simply continue buying nothing new except a health refill every two levels or so.

The graphics and gameplay are good but later on it simply comes down to how fast you can click the mouse. (A rapid fire upgrade would be nice)

One thing I quickly noticed was that a few enemies shoot a split second after they appear giving you no time to shoot them before being hit.

Overall a decent, but quickly repetitive game.

Yeah, I wish I could have added more upgrades/varied gameplay but I'm still a noob on the prgramming side of things so I learn a little with each project I do and all the great comments from you guys really help to inspire me...Thanx!

pretty fun

An enjoyable way to blast apart enemy ships...
but i was never clear on why they spin when they atack your ship...
the music was a bit too repetative,
but aside from those two its probly one of the better shooters of its type

Thanks, they spin to avoid being shot....or its a vortex in this part of space...or they are simply drunk pirate pilots ;-)))

During the eighties and late seventies....

......games of this nature were everywhere,..Atarl,..Inttelivision.,.
.Activision ,..Colecovision and the hardly remembered by anyone,..Vectrex. Not to mention the Commadore and the Apple 11e. And to be honest ,..this played better then 90 percent of them. Thanks for the flashback.

My memories of them are great but when you look at them now they are extremely basic yet still fun somehow...

good update on classic shooters

The detailing was nice, and like the other ppl say the fx was good too. It would be nice to have additional functioning then just shooting though, like either manovering away from shots, or being able to cancel shots would be nice. The rate of intensity though seemed a little prolonged though. Like within the stage there should be some progression of difficulty, not just a repeating amount of guys coming at you. becuase of that it got boring in a stage.
