Amazingly well done, and I've seen atari graphics (thank the "Angry Video Game Nerd" for that), and this is pretty true to them! I liked the song, and I'm actually kinda wanting to get it now, and as for the anime its from, god I have no clue! XD
Hell, I can think of an anime with a guy with a red bandana, but let's get serious, quite a few anime have somethin like that! but ill pm ya with my guess anyways lol

Near the end after the main character defeated three people there was another warrior behind him with a yellow headband. The scene that followed where he turned to him and then the man walked away gave me chills. That was really good :D

I like to think that guy in the yellow headband is him from the future who traveled into the past after turning blue.
