Very interesting

While the animation was a little off, it was still a very interesting feature you've submitted. All throughout, though, I kept hoping I'd hear a certain song play in the background. It's called Progress vs. Pettiness, by an awesome band known as The Phenomenauts. It more or less chronicles the US/Soviet space race, and amusingly questions whether all their advances were for the sake of science or for such a petty thing as looking better than the competing nation. It's too bad the song wasn't in the animation anywhere, but that doesn't really detract from it at all.

Informative and somewhat amusing at the same time. Though I would have suspected someone to present a flash based on a popular legend that NASA actually filmed the lunar landing in Nevada. But thats commie talk! [/sarcasm].

So much better than I thought it would be!

While I was waiting for it to load I read a few of the reviews, and based on those I was expecting this to be a pretty poor flash - just some self-congratulatory Yankee tripe, that sort of thing. But now that I've actually seen it, I can't help but wonder if those other reviewers were watching a different flash! I thought this was really good, with some nice snippets of info and above-average humour to wash it all down with... and it wasn't abusive to the Russians at all, if anything it poked fun at President Kennedy! I only gave it 8 because it wasn't very long, and although I did like the animation it was all pretty simple stuff... but even so, I can't understand other people being so harsh. In fact, I'm glad that it was the Americans who got to the Moon first, because if they hadn't this flash would never have been made!

However, I can't understand your criticism of it not being very long.

Many animations on newgrounds are shorts that might last 30 seconds. This piece is 4:30, which is a pretty nice time for an animation I thought :P
