Sounds Like Heaven
OMG you finished it! This is so awesome.
I remember this first time I heard the WIP it was so inspiring to me. I could see an entire world unfolding right before me.
It is funny now that I've started work on my animation I've found my way back to this beautiful song in its completed form.
Erik would you mind if I just this song in a trailer I'm working on? I would give you full credit of course.
What a pleasant song
This was a great song because it was just so well put out. It gave me the sense of going on an epic journey or perhaps going through some place and being praised. The echo title is very appropriate because the sound does seem to reflect itself. Given the title, this reminds me of Palm Sunday as it seems like the kind of music Jesus would have while he was going through the town. Hmm, guess it's been awhile since I've read my Bible. It has a fairly soft tone to it.
It seems to have a sincere style too and it makes you think about the sincereness people have in faith. The style makes you imagine going on a journey through somewhere. It's the kind of journey that's fun to take and doesn't have peril. I admire the use of instruments even if I can not identify them. About 2:25, it seems to give the feeling of stars being scattered across the sky.
Good sounds, great mixing!
I love the sounds and mixing in this track, every part is crisp and clear and nothing gets muddy or lost in the mix. I also really like how the music fades out not with a typical 'fade everything' but by dropping the pulse slowly until the piano sounds naked and alone, a really nice effect. It would be cool to hear a 'B' theme come in, since the same chords over and over could get old.. but in a track just 3 minutes long I think it's ok, and you push the intensity up and let it drop enough that I think the harmonic simplicity doesn't become an issue, it works really well. If the track was any longer than 3 minutes, though, I'd suggest having a few other ideas in there to keep the momentum going. Great job!
Simply Beautiful
I could see this coming out in a movie with how epic of quality this is.
Some extremely minor attempts to change this song were it my own however, would be to:
1. Alternate the techno sounding synthesizer with a more appropriate instrument to the songs general theme.
2. Add a fermata to the resolution at the end of the piece or manually elongate it somehow.
Just some tips musician to musician, what you have done here my friend - few can accomplish much less surpass, thank you.

I'm pretty certain this is the best song I've ever heard on Newgrounds! I especially love the first smooth yet strong rise in amplitude (for want of a better word) @0:45! As for criticism: I've got nothing!
