your tutorial single handedly taught me about particles, and i was able to combine this with an array to create a blood effect that was triggered when you clicked on an enemy! I posted this to a topic:

I tried it, it worked. Don't know what other people are having problems with, this was pretty cool, as in, the effects are cool.
The tutorial was ok. You didn't explain the actionscript, and I don't blame you, most people copy/ paste anyways, but some people might want to know what it all does, so they can create their own effects.
Other the that, nicely done.
Nice tutorial. I like the way the effect titles all show an effect at the start of the flash, so you know how it'll look. The tutorial is nice and simple, with code that's easy to copy though it's not always easy to understand. Seems like a unique tutorial as well as most people would probably just animate the effects. I'll be sure to give this a try in future creations. Nice work!
