Reviews for "13 Guardians"

Impossible.

You just get mana cards all the time. More than 50% of the gameplay is discarding cards you cannot use and die because of that. LAME.

hm...

the title was great but i dont like the game

...

lame

too unbalanced...

the game has an interesting yet old flavor of gaming. Unfortunately, it is too unbalanced. I played as a wizard, and I can't remember how many times I got screwed because all I had was attack cards and no stamina. I've also read reviews where people played warriors and had only spells and no attack cards. The game is sound, but there should be separate tile pools for each class.

For instance, if I am a mage, roughly 15-25% of my tiles should be melee attacks. meanwhile a warrior should have 60-80% melee attacks.

The enemies area also way too stacked at times. For instance, I had to run through the troll a few times, before I got lucky and was able to hit him with multiple stamina drains.

The ghost/fade thing was slightly tricky but I think I got lucky as I beat him on my first shot.

When I reached flames though, my doom was sealed. I dont mind a challenge, but when your facing a boss where he can score 1-2 hit ko's on you, the game starts to really suck. I tried different strategies, and sometimes I can reach up to 10 rounds or so, but eventually he just gets tiles that can do over 100 points of damage to me and then its game over.

Anyways, give it some tinkering, and I think the game could be a lot more popular.

Interesting concept

Here's the things I liked: The concept was interesting. The upgrade system kept me playing.

The things I didn't like: Although the graphics were pretty good, they were boring. Characters pretty much looked the same. The cards weren't randomized enough. This helped earlier in the game, but proved too be difficult later. No music. Upgrades helped, but not enough to make a difference. No plot at all.

Overall, an interesting concept, but didn't hold my interest for long.
