I didn't really think this belonged in the portal itself. You'd need something that required a little more work. I think it's a great concept, but it needs more. I did give you a little higher score for using Atreyu in the end...but that's still not that high.

but if you really want to show what happens:
Make one where a few good, nice, clean shiny flashes come thru and get in. Then a scummy, dirty one shows up. The :< face marks it as CRAP, but then it shows a card marked [Clock/Lock/Kitty Krew/whatever] FREE PASS. Then the :< face stamps it with a NOT so it says NOT CRAP and gets thru. You could have another one come thru, get marked as CRAP, but then he says, but I want a Protection Point, so the :< face lets him thru too.

it wasn't well made, it was short and it was kinda crappy.
