LadyArsenic responds:

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

I dig it

Very cool feel to the song.

LadyArsenic responds:

Heehee thank you! Like I said, I do these Shantae remixes all from memory so all of them will have a bit of my own spin in them.

ohmygawd.

You are the BEST for doing remixes of music from Shantae!!!!!!! Your stuff is SO good!!!! Are you going to do remixes for more stuff from Shantae?? I'm really hoping you will... I know you'd do an awesome job of it (since you already have)!!!

Can't wait!!! ;D

LadyArsenic responds:

Hahaha why thank you! I just do it to have fun and unwind sometimes when I have a writer's block. There definitely should be more to come, I have several Zombie Caravan variants that I'm trying to decide on, so that'll probably be my next little project. Stay tuned, and thanks for listening!

The feeling of this is amazing. You totally nailed it. I'm very happy to see someone so talented placing their gaze on such an underrated franchise. I have to ask, how do you get that middle eastern sound in your melody? Is there a scale of notes that retains that kind of feeling?

LadyArsenic responds:

Oh wow! Sorry for the late response haha!
Anyways, thank you so much for the comment, it was very awesome of you. I love Shantae and VIRT so I couldn't help writing tribute pieces! He and I have actually become friends and he likes the remixes, so I guess that's about the best thing I could ever ask for in making these.
Anyway, there actually are scales that are known as Arabic scales, and they're probably the ones that instantly come to mind when you think of Middle Eastern sounding music. I also think instruments are really important. I use a lot of ethnic flutes and plucked stringed instruments when writing for this kind of style, and I'm also very partial to fiddles. Gives it kind of an East European Gypsy feel to it, don't you think? Anyway, that's it haha. Thanks for reviewing, and thanks for listening!

Needs to be a BRSTM (so it loops infinitely like from in a game)

LadyArsenic responds:

Thanks for the heads-up :)
