Reviews for "Bubble Abroad"

cool game

the game was fun but got kinda hard really quick like the fourth or 5th level

125Maniac responds:

Haha! Thank you!

Between you and me, I'm not much of a gamer myself, so pretty much 20 out of 40 original levels were dumped because I couldn't play them!

Two problems.

1.) Music restart glitch when entering and exiting the cheat menu.
2.) You only lose if the middle pixel of the bubble hits a wall. That makes things a little too easy.

Otherwise, not bad.

125Maniac responds:

yeah, in the long-overdue sequel i've fixed those problems.

Great Concept, Could've been made a LOT better.

An original concept to come in, but it was shabbily presented.
Your best level of the lot would've been 'roundabout'.

Simple improvements like Looping your music, adding a background that was animated, and using basic textures in your graphics, maybe even mapping it out in bricks or a simple tile system would've improved the gameplay immensely.
Other graphic factors to consider would be when you do lose, a 'popping' animation and a 'continue' dialog to come up.
Preloaders are essential, unless the game is tiny -- I don't like sitting in front of a screen with a 'LOADING' word sitting there for ages.

Gameplay could've been improved significantly by adding challenge in the forms of:
Limited lives,
Limited time,
More levels (Which included changing map factors -- This is why 'Roundabout' was your best.
Also, the bubble should pop if any of it is touched, not just the center, unless you were trying to create and effect of the bubble bending, which should've been animated.

Great concept -- I hope to see a large improvement in your sequel, as this game could've been presented alot better.
It doesn't have to be complex to look good, either. ;)

Best of luck with the next project.

125Maniac responds:

cheers, i've fixed most of those problems!
