Reviews for "Ruined"

Eh... I didnt really like it

The animation was a bit slow at times, although I still liked it. But Monty Python wasn't that funny and neither are you |:-(

-Oh yea look at my l33t constructiveness cristicism... -ness, w00t

I would find this hilarious if I was the age of 8

The animation is good and the sound is smooth. Your two biggest faults were that the story was retarded and the humor was about as uninventive as you could possibly be (with the except of the Indiana Jones skeleton). The bottom line is that good animation doesn't make up for dumb content.

More like the flash itself is ruined obv obv obv

I guess this flash is presenting itself as a comedy. That's really too bad, as the only emotion it evoked from me was resentment enough to take my time to write a lengthy (unnecessary?) review condemning it.
We'll start with the graphics. They were so mediocre that I'd actually call them unacceptable. Two dimensional, with standard, cartoony faces and mostly bland backgrounds. There was some exceptions, such as some nice hyroglyphics (that can't be spelt right) and details on the characters clothes, but it also seems alot of corners were cut. The animation was worse. There wasn't much there except the occasional arm movement and expression change, leaving me with an all-around lukewarm visual experience.
Sound was pretty poor too, especially since I believe alot of the sound effects in the flash were supposed to function as complements to jokes (he's screaming and his hat is on fire! Double comedy!) and were therefore pretty obnoxious overall. The voices were pretty well done and were prolly one of the best parts of the flash.
Now substance. Now it could be that I missed much of the point of the flash because I'm not familar with the undoubtably carefully developed personalities and backstories of the characters in the flash, but I don't think that's the case. Undoubtably I was annoyed by some in-jokes that, based on my reflection, seemed to be relatively unfunny even if I was "in" on the joke (His eyes are.. nonexistant?), but I was more annoyed by the jokes I was supposed to understand without prior knowledge of the "eddsworld" series (Aside: Seriously, naming a series after the main character, and adding "-world" to the end? Seriously?). Many of the jokes were in the realm of "laugh at that guy's misery," but a precious few dealt with either pop culture references or just general idiocy. I mean, I'm not a big fan of slapstick in the first place, but if you have a character brutally injured OFF SCREEN and then present his pain as humorous, I'm not sure that you're appealing to many people's humor. Then again, that 4.21 seems to disagree wholeheartedly. All of the characters were pretty detestably, being as they were malacious, greedy and unintelligent. Maybe I'm supposed to rejoice at the end when they all fall down the pit to their certain deaths, but I've got a sinking feeling they will return unharmed in a future episode. Then again, I don't know what I'm fretting about, as I'll be sure to skip every piece of Edd work after this one unless he has some sort of animating epiphany.
The animation as a whole did not really offend my senses or drive me off of watching flash videos forever, therefore it gets higher than a two.

To slow, I was bored.

I think if the voice acting had more enthusiasm then this story would have been really good. A lot of artists have this problem. You need to have some emotional content. Have much you get in to it is how much we will get in to it.

Seems too forced.

I dont know...it wasnt very funny at all. Tried too hard...was too obvious...too stupid. Egyptian shit buried in the ground in...not egypt...

wtf.

I didnt even smile once.. potential is there but stop trying so hard to be funny its not workin out.
