Reviews for "The Treeva Experience"

I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight...

It was awe-inspirngly creepy. I didn't understand the final secret though, * S P O I L E R * did Treeva die or something? Cause I saw that hole on the side of her head. The final secret was especiallly creepy, with the Psy looking right at you and the screen going blood-red. This is your first game/menu sort of thing, and it was awesome. The whole idea of the slitting-wrists was awesome. I really want to know what happened to Treeva though. Please Respond!

Bobert-Rob responds:

Well, at the moment, it's open to speculation. It doesn't clearly indicate what happens aside from her becoming a complete tree. She could still be alive in there, as this animation is more symbolic than literal anyway. And I think I remember what you're talking about with the holes, but I think I meant for those to be more of ear holes than anything, not necessarily gun shot holes or whatnot. It's still open to interpretation, though. Thanks for the review!

Woah.

I have to say dude. Good job.

It's not often that you find a mere menu system that is compelling and interesting.

I like this kind of stuff. The imagery, the possible depth of such a being and its existence can come from, the mythological references, and the personally created myths as no doubt this includes.

I have to say that this is fantastic. I would love to see more of Treeva, or quite possibly your stuff in general. One can really paint a pretty picture.

Oh yeah. Chills down my spine, three out of nine secrets revealed. I have to also say, it's one of those things that makes me wish I could draw. Oh, the ideas and madness I would just love to express and spill out. I'll probably take a class or two further down in college. I kinda want it as a hobby.

Bobert-Rob responds:

Why thanks! Yes, this was a very interesting one to put together. I'd personally love to elaborate more on Treeva somehow, but I have yet to put a script together. I have a few ideas, of course, I just need to allow more time to develop all the areas of the story. The website has a walkthrough if you want to spoil the fun. Just thought I'd mention. Good luck with your future endeavors, and thanks for the review!

Aldersuvitara

In your website, you stated "The name of Treeva itself is sort of a parody of the name of Shiva, a multi-limbed Hindu god. Due to playing too many Final Fantasy games, I usually think of Shiva as a goddess. Once I did some research, I found out that Shiva is actually a mostly male god (sometimes he's half female), but I stuck with Treeva being female because it's easier to associate women with nature than men and so the tree being a woman made a lot more sense to me."

Shiva is actually mostly male. The half female God/goddess you're talking of is Aldersuvitara, who is made up of Shiva and his consort Parvati... >.> But despite that (Which can be basically be overlooked anyway) This is a great game/site

Bobert-Rob responds:

Well, thanks. Yeah, when doing the original research, I saw that "Shiva is mostly male" fact, but most statues and stuff I see of Shiva looks more feminine than masculine anyway. In any case, you can blame the female shiva inspiration on FF, as stated. Plus, once I came up with "Treeva", I couldn't shake it, so I kept the name. Aldersuvitara, huh? That's a complicated name. Good to see you enjyoed it anyway! Thanks for the review!

huh....

well umm its very good kinda weird like the one thing with treeva like dead and a black sun is it supposed to be desert or something and ive been clicking for an hour the stupid flies wont die and im dizzy i mean if u make something clickable it should do something its really great but finding secrets is hard

Bobert-Rob responds:

Well, if you want to spoil the secret finding fun, there's a walkthrough on my website telling where the main 10 secrets are (including these ultimate secret). That is, if you want to do that. I leave it up to you. Thanks for the review!

me likey

i really enjoyed this game and quite happy i managed to get all 10 secrets ^^.At first i was a bit put off by the wrist slitting buttons but they grew on me when i came to the conclusion that it wasnt for shock value.i rearry riked the art work done in this and the general dark vibe that i found funny at some bits like the blood ink fella.was kinda a bit annoyed that i got to 7 secrets and found out about the scrap book.i really like the treeva character and think she would be really fun to use for other stuff (not just more wrist slitting and links) thanks for the game kept me occupied for a while ^^

Bobert-Rob responds:

Yeah, no problem. I'd like to use Treeva more in the future, but that won't be for awhile... do expect to see her again, though. Just no more wrist slitting... I've done that already and all. No, when I use Treeva again, it will end up exploring her backstory more, either in another interactive experience or a full cartoon. Thanks for the review!
