Reviews for "Asteroids Revenge III"

Enjoyable game, but way to short

Very enjoyable fun little game, but it was way to short in my opinion, I got the 6000+ ships ending and, heh, yeah it was a little bit funny, but story breaking. How could the robots talk to eachother in the start? ^^

I hope there will be a sequal or something like that!

AdamSchroeder responds:

The initial ships were piloted by humans... but when they realized the asteroids truly could fight back they sent in the robots. No point wasting valuable human lives when you could send in the machines to fight for you! I've got a couple new chapters planned... once I can find the time to work on them.

Same as the old one, but still fun.

I thought everything was exactly the same, except for the boss battle. In the last one I was able to float around all dandilly and every once in a while Id be hindered by some asshole repulsor thing. But at least I could see the damned repulsor. In this final boss battle in this version, I was being repulsed nearly the whole time by nothing. And I know that it was nothing because it happened even when I was in the middle of the screen. Thanks to that annoyance I was only able to get a score of 5,770. I was killed while being forced into a standstill between an actual repulsor and what would seem to be some kind of ninja invisible repulsor and a giant green asshole and a hard place. Needless to say, I was and am very depressed by the whole situation.

Other than all of that nonsense I liked the rest of the game, just not the boss battle in this one. In my opinion Asteroids Revenge 2 was better. That's almost exculsively due to that damned boss battle. Damn invisi-dicks.

...

Game is a lot of fun but I did have some problems with lag when I got into the upper levels.

Now Who's Laughin?'

'Asteroids' is one of the few classic games that has had so many renditions, and this one MUST take the cake since the asteroids are now fighting back, which is soemthing I would never have thought of happening. Ever. Movement keys are easy to configure and reconfigure. Each level has its own challenge, especially the final one. The powerups are decent, yet they are always the same. Fix on your strategy and you can go to the end, however the mass of ships in that final level seem impossible to defeat, and the secret... well, it may be kind of a cop-out to all the astreroids to say all that. I've lost and won at the same time.

Yet this game has the same addictive quality as the original 'Asteroids,' to which all such games must be compared. Bravo!

really good

i give it a 7 because when you die you should get all your power ups back. Also when i die with allies they give me a level where i need one and have to start over.
hint always have a couple allies.
