Simple game.

Well the good thing about the game is how simple it is. Its eay to pick up and just play and thats nice to see in a game. The graphics are nice, but as I seem to repeat with all of these submissions, the graphics dont really matter when the rest of the group is already that good in that department. The gameplay is a refreshing take on things though, I mean how many people can say that there game involves calculations? Not many. The help feature is also nice to see for those littler kids. After I got used to the controls which WERENT bad the game was pretty fun. Nice job with this game. Truly one of the better contest submissions.

Heh, thanks. It always seems to be 50/50 with this control scheme; i find it to be fairly intuitive and so do a lot of other people, but i think it takes a lot of people outside of their comfort zone, and they'd rather have something a lot more easy to control so they could focus on the rest of the game more =/

It was cool

I don't have much critisim, it was a nice effort. It reminds me a lot of a level from Earthworm Jim. Maybe add some enemies and/or weapons for the sequel.

Heh, thanks. And i actually did once start a game very similar to this with lots of shooting and enemies, but this time around i had to try and keep it at least a little bit shallow so that kids could pick it up and play very easily.

Great concept, controls very difficult

I think this concept is done quite well, and the random levels are a very nice touch. Even if the graphics are a bit simple they work OK, and the level previews are useful. Unfortunately, I found the character VERY difficult to control, and it seems like younger children would get frustrated extremely quickly. Good luck in the contest!

While the game premise is good, the aircraft has clumsy controls.

Cant really argue with your comment. Some people find this control scheme immediately intuitive, some dont... it IS a fairly classic control scheme though (moon lander games), so i thought i'd try it anyway.
