I'd call this a cross between Nabuo Uematsu and megaman. Although there's a little bit of the original Ninja Gaiden in there. You definitely have created a good piece of VG music here. Sounds like this is supposed to be in some sort of loop, since the end seems a bit rough, or incomplete, while looping it makes sense it'd be nice if you tack on a better ending for my downloading pleasure. =)

To be honest
I dont think I could peg this as a battle theme. It feels a little more like an event theme for a special point in a game, a battle event, perhaps, but otherwise it seems to be trying to cover alot of things at once instead of simply "This is a random battle,"
Its a good theme all the same, I cant argue that, it just seems too special especially when it starts to change to what could easily be something different at about 1:10. The only (almost) consistent element really is the background beat.
The change in the tune simply make it seem more like its part of a planned event. I dont know if I entirely make sense with what I'm saying, so I think I'll just end with saying good job either way.

It sounds like a remix of ParagonX9's Chaoz Airflow. The fact that I've heard this song before under a different name kinda kills the originality. -Reproachfulparentface-
BTW I liked the song you lifted more than this one....
