It was okay, i didnt learn anything new, but you should fix up a few spelling mistakes that are obvious there, i flickered through the pages and you spelt "Then" as "than". Also, if its a preloader tutorial, and you just used the newgrounds one, how do we know this works then? Just lettin ya know :\
I was lazy, so I used the NG preloader. This one works if you make it right. I'm also to lazy to fix the spelingg :P

I'm always surprised when a great, well-laid out flash doesn't have a preloader. Maybe now more people will learn how to make them :D
Thanks. They can always use the NG preloader if they're too lazy to watch this... theres no excuse for no preloader unless it's a movie like "B".

This really helped me because im sort of a noob at flash. BTY where is the instance setting?
The instance setting is in the Properties panel at the far left where there's a text box that says "Instance name". I used flash 8, so I don't know if it's differen't or even there for lower versions

Im not sure about this, but arnt those the same actions that are used in the free NG Preloader you can downloader from the flash portal?
When I opened this up, i was hoping to learn how to make the complicated preloaders. The one that do percents rather than a bar, or the ones that show you how far along it is in kb.
Do you know how to do that stuff? I think that kind of tutorial would be a lot more popular than just do a step-by-step dissection of the NG Preloader...
This is a different coding than the Free NG preloader. It's easier to understand how it works, so it should be easy for beginning Flash artists to edit it and make their own out of this outline
