This was so much fun to play,, I played it 2 hours straight now.
I love it.. though I suck quite badly..
Too bad I can't use my own crappy songs in this game :(. But there's nothin you can do about that,
Anyway,, Slick Design, Alot of action and 1 downside that sometimes the notes weren't synced,, But I can forgive you

Action not really synched up to the music
Sorry, I didn't really feel the beat at all. The game looks great, and the music rocks, but the keys seemed completely disconnected from the music.

To answer you're title...
I used 852 lines of code for the game, 3 lines of code for the grid, 480 lines of code for the menu, 40 lines of code for the instructions, 258 items in the library (mostly the newgrounds preloader, which I had to re-code for AS3), and some more code randomly everywhere.
I'll start a version 4 some other time :P. Perhaps after the rock out contest xD!
