Reviews for "Luminara"

Sweet. Asteroids Revamped X10

wow that is an awesome game for sure. the only things that could be improved AT ALL is maybe more diversity in the soundtrack and maybe a multiplayer mode would be cool.

:(

I completely agree. Color blind people are missing out on some good stuff here.

Awesome

Spectacular Game. Anybody who has rated low have no idea what a fun mindless game is. That's exactly what this game is. A game where if you just don't want to think, or your tired of all the other games, you play this one. Let's get straight to the review here.
Graphics: For what it is, it's good when you have it on the best. It also has an auto-quality thing to make sure you don't lock up. (learned that the hard way.
Style: Many games have used this style, and this game does it right.
Sound: The music is great, and the explosions are awesome. Nice quality there.
Violence: Shooting and Explosions. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.
Interactivity: I felt like I was in control and not struggling all over the place. Wish I could make a "ship" for myself though.
Humor: I don't think it was meant to be humerous.
Overall: The average said 6.3, but I gave you two more points. It is a great game.
For those who are looking to relax to an easy game, this is it. It's mindless and fun.

Not bad at all.

I'm definitely down with the background track (weird place to start, I know); it manages to be nice and ear-catching without becoming repetitive. So as far as that goes, you're golden.

The actual sound effects aren't bad either. I might up their prominence a bit, though; they seemed to get overpowered in all the action going on.

Speaking of action, the fluidity of the game was surprisingly good. Good acceleration, good controls (could stand to be a bit touchier, but not too much), and good particles and good collision detection.

My only major problem with this is the most important bit of the game itself; the color. I might be an old piece of shit who can't see, but from my perspective, the exploding enemies and the metamorphosing stages blend together...and not into a robust stew, either. I lost most of my lives not because I was sucking (though that was why I lost the other ones), but because I couldn't tell where I was.

To handle this issue, if you consider it one, I might add dynamic lighting to each of the enemies and their subsidiaries. If that proves too taxing, then just lowering the saturation of the backgrounds a tad and upping the visual importance of the particles floating around might do the same trick. Even downplaying the explosions a little would help...again, though, this may just be me. I don't know how these other muhfukrs took it.

All that being said, great overall game. No shit. Definitely something upon which to improve and market to the ailing PSP library.

Nice game overall

The color to this game was just gorgeous. The overall mechanics worked nicely also. Only problem I had with this game is I got lost where I was aiming cause of all the different shapes and colors. When it all comes down to it though I really thought this game was really well done besides that minor adjustment in being able to figure out where I was aiming.
