It's a notepad/journal type. The Idea is he pulled it out, looked at it, then shoved it in his back pocket before walking.
Never heard of PYLOT until now but the cover looks super nice. The colors, the tones, the line work as well. It's all very atmospheric. I may have to check it out sometime.
Heh, while tying this I realized Pylot is a band, thought it was straight up a comic series, though I see on the FB page you have some stuff for back story so I may check that out along with the music as well.
