Good game but...

Why is it that I can hit an enemy dead on with a rocket, point blank, full strength, etc, etc - couldn't possibly be a more solid hit... and it takes like 1/10th of his life.

Then he turns around and hits me no better with the same weapon and my guy who still had a little over half of his life is now dead?

Maybe there is an explanation for this, but it's not obvious enough for me to guess it, and it's not explained anywhere in the documentation. Is it random? Is it based on how much time is remaining? Is it best to avoid hitting them directly and instead hit the land near them?

Along these lines there's really no documentation on the weapons and how much damage they do in various situations.

I often found myself needing to find a way to scroll - I saw you mentioned the undocumented "p"/scroll feature. Seems like you could just make the arrow keys scroll before the player has decided which person to move?

I don't mean to complain - it's a far better game than I could ever create - no question about that. But you've asked people for specific items to change to improve the game. There's my feedback. You've got a game with a lot of detailed options and no real detailed explanation to supplement most of them.

The uber-kids are genetically engineered to be uber strong...:p

I made their weapons do more damage to balance out their stupidity in aiming...it just wasn't a challenge when they were doing the same damage...maybe I should have made their missiles green or something so you'd know they're diff.

Above Average

While not as great as Worms, this is still a pretty fun flash. Some work could've been done to include more weapons or at least missile variations and sometimes it felt like I was playing the same map once or twice in a row, the 'cavern' map feature was a fun treat. I enjoyed the music and artwork and the destructible terrain is always fun.

PS; The previous review is way too biased and harsh to be taken into account seriously.

Thanks. Glad you liked it, and I agree, there could be a ton of cool new things built in...but time just didn't permit. Glad you liked the cavern mode and the destructible terrain...people just don't realize how unique that is for a flash game.

Sometimes I take short-sighted reviews a little too seriously.

Nonono

I love Worms, and this was just bad. You hardly had enough weapons, Pico couldn't go up a bloody slope and the controls were sloppy.

Also, I walked over a little hill towards the enemy. Suddenly he spots me or something, my turn is over and I get shot. I think a wtf is in order? This isn't Worms, this is junk. How am I supposed to do ranged attacks if I can't even scroll the screen?

You guys are harsh.

To answer the turn over thing, you will lose your turn if you fall too far whilst moving.

And, to answer the scrolling thing, I didn't have time to work out all the bugs involved with this (which is why it's undocumented), but press "p" on your turn whilst moving to pan the screen and take a look around.

I'd hardly call the game junk though...find me something 1/2 as comparable made in flash.

Fun, But Buggy

Since I love worms, I do really like this game, but a few bugs keep me from really loving it. First, it seems like the Uberkids take less damage than the Picos. Second, and this just might be my own fault, but I couldn't find any sort of instructions or help link. Last, I've got all the requirements for the first rank checked off, but the game hasn't promoted me. Oh, also, changing the AI's weapons choices (i.e. not bazooka every time) might make for more interesting gameplay.

Overall, a totally playable and fun submission, though.

Not good

That game was so bad i could barely play it. I mean like the menu looks pretty good got me phsyched up but it was terrible.... and i mean i love worms it's great ..
