Wow, this was quite a detailed game.
Wow, now this was a concept I've never seen used before... a factor where you're shooting AND using the mouse to use special weapons. It sort of makes me feel like I'm playing a 2D Panzer Dragoon all over again... happy memories. ^_^ Anyways... I would suggest you work a bit on some of the special weapon implementations... like the scattering fireball, it could do with actually being a lot more powerful or do explosions at level 3. Likewise for the shield. If you could make the shield easier to operate, it'd be fairly useful, and I've found yellow shot and shield blocking enemy hits = the win on this game, as only the nasty big beams break shields.

the only reason I scored an overall 7 was because the idea was so damn old but it had different weapons than others of it's type

that was a pretty fun game. the game itself was a little bit simple overall, but the storyline behind this one was very original and really made this one a lot of fun to play. i think it could've been a little harder, but it was still a blast to play and glad to see that it won an award as well.
