Reviews for "A Parting Shot II"

no more glitches?

wrong.
I was at the place where the screen pans over to the cave and when it came back to me i couldn't move. I had to restart the game, boooo

but, it's still fun

Fixed :)
I think....

More contrast!

It seemed like a good gme, but I couldn't get past the fact that everything is so dark. I can't see the arrows against the dark green brown and black backgrounds, and I have to squint to know where my guy is.

Missing something...

This is a good game for sure, but it needs some sort of weapon variety, sometimes the bow just isn't enough to take down the 4 or 5 guys that suddenly appear. Upgrades might be a good idea, not necessarily to the bow itself but to the character. For example you could upgrade the characters strength to decrease draw time, agility or speed could increase jumping and running capabilities.
Another cool idea would be a bowsmith who could tweak the actual bow. You could modify the string resistance to increase draw speed at the cost of power or vice versa. The bowsmith could also carry different types of arrows: piercing arrows, barbed arrows, poisoned arrows, etc...
Very good game overall 4/5.

Good but a few small problems.

Great game but a few small let downs.
1. Add different bows or maybe arrows.
2. The enemies are good but maybe some more variety
3. The shooting system is good but very slow at times.

Simply put, an amazing improvement from the first.

A Parting Shot II, this game is a major improvement from the first one. The graphics are very good, and are a huge change from the first game's. The cinematic's also add a lot of depth to the game, and the story line gives the game more of an action feel to it. i enjoyed the variety of the mission's, as each level was unique, and put me in different situations. The first boss got me irritated at first, but I was easily able to find out how to take care of him. The hit boxes on enemies are well made, and add more realism to the game (headshot vs footshot etc), except I got mad when I got shot in the face by an archer XD. Not the most violent game ever, but it is only a Teen rated game so I wasn't expecting people brains to be pouring out when they get hit in the head. I found it funny everytime I hit an archer in the genitals, just looked really funny when he fell with an arrow sticking out of that area (OUCH!). The scripting could be improved (but then again I don't know much about flash game scripting), I just think the FPS could have been a little higher for a smoother looking game.

Another good addition was the voicing, it added character to the Parthian and added that little extra. Also, it was good to add variation to the grunting noises, so it wasn't just the same grunt over and over, very nice. Keep up the good work! Can we expect a Parting Shot III in the future?
