Reviews for "Robotic Fishy"

Thoroughly frustrating.

Well lets see, where to begin with my review on this one...

Well.... ^_^ Lets start with some good things. For one, I liked the drawings in this game. It definitely showed your detail in your work which was pretty awesome.

The controls, although not the best in the world, did seem pretty ok for this game.

The music seemed to go well with an underwater game such as this.

I also loved the basic idea of this game. Eat smaller fish to grow bigger and eventually kill off all the fish. I remember playing a similar game like this so I was quite thrilled to play this game......

Of course, that's where the thrilling ended, which was right when I died for the 5th time. Yes Yes, I know dying 5 times isn't a big deal but my problem here isn't the amount of times I died, but how I died to be precise.

Well for one, about every single time I died, I had no idea which fish I collided with that would cause me to die, mainly because you made the touch area for the fishes WAY OFF their own freaking bodies. I mean, come on, a fish that is a WHOLE 2 or 3 inches away from me isn't supposed to kill me, is it? I swore I hit absolutely nothing and then the next second, I find myself dead. You seriously have got to fix this problem. Give us more lee way (or whatever you call it) between each fish. It's extremely frustrating when I can't beat the game because a fish a mile away from me decides to pop on the screen and kill me. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Next time, make it more realistic. :P

try playing on slow or fast. Those are the best. Normal, because you go at a certain speed, that the deceleration of when you turn around keeps you drifting the oposite way. Realistic. Thanks for the thought out review.

Good fishy sequel.

I liked it. The bonus was especially cool but i think it should have been unlockable. Also, you should be able to select the fishy you want to be. No highscore list was especially nice. I have had way way way too much competion with others on high score boards recently. Just being able to play all by myself without any real pressure was very refreshing. Thank you for an awesome game.

have fun

Okay...

It was an okay game. The graphics were good and I like these kind of games. However, I have a few criticisms. First, the controls sucked. The fish was unresponsive and hard to maneuver. Secondly, half the time that I was eaten, I couldn't tell that I had touched another fish. It seemed that all you had to be was close to another, bigger fish, which screwed me up because there were times that I could have squeezed past a fish, but contact was apparently not the deciding factor. So it was all right up until the point that I started dying needlessly in situations I should have and could have survived.

I didn't listen to the music, so I can't rate that.

ericblak responds:

so you don't give a 0 on shit you didnt hear.

It's so hard to use arrow keys.

:P

S'aight

It was pretty good, I liked the interface, but unfortunately there were a few things about this that bugged me: the techno music was annoying and it could have used some cute marine-like underwater music, you should have probably given some sort of three lives system, I didn't like how once you went into contact with bigger fish, you were instantly told your score and the game was over, you could have at least provided some animation to show you were eaten or given the player a few chances via lives. However, the graphics were very good and shiny. Yeah.

ericblak responds:

the old version had the animation of him eating you. But it was a random generator so it wouldnt have been the right fish

hmmm

Not to terrbily different from other fishy games, though graphics were great...i had the msot fun with the bonus. Nice stuff 5 all the way

ericblak responds:

XD thanks bud
