Amazing... I spend few minutes in paint, undoing and redoing a square that covers one in middle... I swear that when bigger square wasn't covered bar was way lighter... freakin amazing.

Yeah, i couldn't believe it at first either. I used a crude way to check though. I just blocked the rest of the squares with my hand by covering the monitor, and looked at it carefully with just one eye. Whats cool about that illusion is that even if you see that the colors are the same, it still looks darker once you see the whole picture, no matter how many times you look at it. Thanks

some of just didn't work for me (it might be because you shrunk them all down) .... . but anyways ... interesting idea.... just nothing new cuz i've like seen 90% of all of them in stupid forwarded emails n stuff.... if i were you i'd resubmit it bigger..... like at least 800*600 or something .... but good idea
